Benny is a senior with a lot to say

My Dearest Winston and Readers:

Greetings! I am a senior male cat named Benny. Would you believe (I find it hard to believe it myself) that I am 17 years young! I still feel like a kitten.

I was brought into the shelter in early July as my owner was moving and was unable to take me with him. A new home and a fresh start at my age? Well, why not? I live by the motto, "Tomorrow is the first day of the rest of your life." I figure that since I am a cat I have nine lives!

My ideal home would be a nice, quiet one — and I should point out that I have never been around a dog before. I mean, I am certain they are lovely, they are just not for me. I have co-habited with children ages 5 and up. I think I would much prefer to be the only pet in the house and live out the rest of my lives in a very calming and peaceful environment.

I am friendly, a real chatterbox who will talk someone's ear off! I consider myself friendly, I love food (who doesn’t?) and I am well known at the shelter as being a couch potato. There you have it, a senior, chatty couch potato.

Thank you Winston!

Winston says:

Wow you look amazing for a 17-year-old, congrats to you, young man! You must have been very well taken care of in your former home, and we have to thank your previous owner for that. You still have a lot of life left to live so please enjoy it! I wish you all of the luck in the world.

Readers, how can you pass this fellow by? Stop in and see him for yourself!

Sincerely, Winston

You may stop by the shelter any time we are open! Although it is helpful to our staff if you make an appointment to surrender or adopt an animal, it is not necessary.

Also you do not need an appointment to make a donation. We welcome you to stop by our shelter and look forward to seeing you.
