TOWN OF WESTERN — A fundraiser benefit will be held at the Westernville American Legion Post 1846 to help out volunteer firefighter Kyle Weissmuller, who lost his home and pets in a fire last month. The benefit will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2.

Weissmuller is a military veteran and longtime member of the Western Fire Department, officials said. He lost his home on Mullen Hill Road in a fire on Aug. 24.

Authorities said the home was a total loss and that Weissmuller lost most of his possessions, including pet dogs Maggie and Mia.

The Oct. 2 benefit will go from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Westernville Legion at 9379 Route 46. Tickets will be $15 per person or $25 for a couple. There will be food, drinks, music and raffles.

For tickets, contact Deb Tebo at 315-571-8480 or Kylee Mierek at 315-534-8021 or Yvonne
Lenaghen at 315-269-3333.
