Bash to benefit Old Forge Library
OLD FORGE — The Friends of the Old Forge Library are hosting The Bash annual fundraiser from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at the library, 220 Crosby Blvd.
For a suggested donation of $20, visitors will enjoy wine and beer tastings, hors d’oeuvres and door prizes. In addition, this year the Friends will have two live auctions; a photographic outing with Kurt Gardner and a commissioned painting by Ron Rakowski. The winners of the raffle will be drawn that afternoon as well. This year Midnite Mike will provide music.
The raffle items range from gift baskets from local merchants to sculpture, photographs and fiber art. The Friends have donated a child’s chair and selection of books for a young reader. The collection is currently on display at the library.
Tickets can be purchased during library open hours or at The Bash. Participants do not need to be present to win. The Bash is a summer tradition which will take place rain or shine.
