WHITESTOWN — The man found dead along the Mohawk River in Whitestown has been identified as 37-year-old Adam J. Slavin, of Rome, according to law enforcement officials.
Authorities said the cause and manner of Slavin’s death remains under investigation.
Slavin’s body was found along the Mohawk River Friday afternoon, Sept. 3, by a kayaker. A law enforcement dive team retrieved the body out of the water and the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to determine the cause and manner of his death.
No arrests have been made so far.
