HERKIMER — Arc Herkimer will offer a defensive driving course on Saturday, March 18, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at its offices at 350 S. Washington St. in training rooms A and B.

The course fee is $38.

The detailed program is offered by New York State and primarily utilized for diverting traffic citations, removing traffic points, insurance discounts, employer requirement, or on a volunteer basis, the Arc Herkimer announcement said, adding the course will provide information on updated and improved defensive driving strategies.

“In the Traffic Survival Workshop, I focus on reducing the risk of collisions and citations while driving,” said instructor Kelly Bunce, transportation coordinator at Arc Herkimer. “Drivers develop tactics to recognize current behaviors on the road, and learn ways to alter aggressions and improve defensive driving.”
