ACCESS Federal Credit Union promotes three to vice president positions

CLINTON — Thomas Owens, president and CEO of Access Federal Credit Union, has announced the promotion of three of its employees to positions as assistant vice presidents.

Emily Coin has been named to assistant vice president of risk management.

Coin joined Access FCU in 2016 and has worked in several positions, including internal auditor. Most recently she was the supervisor of risk management.

In her position, she is responsible for regulatory compliance, security for the branches, as well as overseeing the inside audit functions of the credit union, the credit union announced.

Coin also maintains all the credit union policies and procedures and assists with new product development.

Suzanne Lukacz has been named as an assistant vice president and loan officer.

Lukacz began her career with Access FCU in 1997 and worked as a member service representative in the Oneida office before transferring to the Clinton office.

In April 2004, Lukacz was promoted to branch supervisor of the Clinton office, and is responsible for supporting all aspects of the front-line operations for the Clinton office.

In addition, she is a mortgage originator for the credit union, Access FCU said.

In February, Lukacz was granted lending authority by the credit union’s board of directors and will serve loan officer for the credit union.

Nicholas Owens has been named a vice president and loan officer.

Owens began his career with Access FCU in 2008 and has served as a teller, head teller, and member service representative. In June 2017, Owens was promoted to branch supervisor of the Oneida and Sherrill offices. Owens is responsible for supporting all aspects of the front-line operations in both offices, the credit union announced.

In addition, Owens is a mortgage originator for the credit union.

In February, Owens was granted lending authority by the credit union’s board of directors and will serve as loan officer for the credit union.

Access Federal Credit Union is a community credit union. If someone lives, works, worships or goes to school in Oneida county or the City of Oneida, they are eligible to join Access Federal Credit Union.

Businesses and other legal entities located within Oneida county or the City of Oneida are eligible to join Access.
