Access FCU promotes four team members

CLINTON — Thomas L. Owens, president and CEO of Access Federal Credit Union – a credit union serving Oneida County and the City of Oneida – has announced the promotion of four employees: Stephen T. Ford, Maria E. Gall, David B. Heburn and Nicholas L. Owens.

Ford has been promoted to branch supervisor of the Rome branch. He began his career with Access in 2017, and has since demonstrated his leadership ability while working as a teller, head teller and member service representative, the announcement said.

In his new position, he will be responsible for supporting all frontline operations for the Rome branch.

Gall has been promoted to branch supervisor of the Clinton branch. Gall joined Access in 2007 as head teller of the Clinton Branch then became a member service representative, and later, mortgage originator.

In her new position, she will be responsible for supporting all frontline operations for Clinton, the announcement added.

Heburn, who was recently promoted to assistant vice president of the Rome branch, is being relocated to assistant vice president of the Oneida branch.

Heburn joined the credit union in 2009. Under Heburn’s supervision, the Rome branch has enjoyed continued growth and success, the announcement said. As the credit union’s second largest branch, ACCESS is excited for Heburn to bring his dedication and drive to Oneida.

He will be responsible for supporting all frontline operations there.

Nicholas Owens has been promoted to assistant vice president of branch and digital bank operations.

He joined the Credit Union in 2008 and has served as a teller, head teller and member service representative. In June 2017, he was promoted to branch supervisor of the Oneida and Sherrill offices, according to the announcement.

He was most recently promoted to assistant vice president of the Oneida branch. In his new position, he will be responsible for the overall administration of the credit union’s branches and the development and administration of all digital banking products and services.

Access Federal Credit Union is a community credit union. If someone lives, works, worships or goes to school in Oneida county or the City of Oneida, they are eligible to join, the credit union said.

In addition, businesses and other legal entities located within Oneida county or the City of Oneida are eligible to join Access, the announcement added.
