ROME — In honor of National Tolkien Reading Day, Keaton & Lloyd Bookshop, 236 W. Dominick St., will host a Very Merry Hobbit Party on Saturday, March 25, at 2 p.m.

The event is free and appropriate for all ages.

Published in 1937, J.R.R. Tolkien’s novel, “The Hobbit,” is one of the best-selling books of all time. At this party, the bookshop will celebrate the novel through activities and snacks that fit the Hobbit theme. The party will include Hobbit trivia, a Smaug piñata, snacks, riddle solving for prizes, and crafts.

No reservation is necessary to attend the party, but the bookshop requests that anyone interested in participating in trivia sign up in advance by contacting 315-795-2017 or keatonandlloyd@gmail.com.
