OLD FORGE — View, the Center for Arts and Culture at 3273 Route 28, is calling for artists to join in its12th annual Plein Air Paint Out, running from Sept. 2-5.

Painters may enjoy the chance to mingle and paint with fellow artists around the beautiful Old Forge area. Artists will also compete for one of several awards and cash prizes and will have the opportunity to submit 1-2 consignment pieces to sell over the weekend. Each artist will donate a framed, ready to hang painting from the weekend for a fund-raiser auction held on Saturday.

The three-day event begins Thursday, Sept. 2 with an artist welcome and check in, including breakfast and lunch. On Friday, artists will gather to paint at View from 5 Corners, followed by dinner and winner announcements with prizes from Uniquely ADK, as well as the Artists’ Raffles. Saturday, participants will enjoy painting, socializing, shopping, and hiking until the Auction Preview and live Auction Fund-raiser.

A limited number of spots are available, and entry is first-come, first-serve. The deadline for artist registration is Aug. 13 or until slots fill. All proceeds from donated art auction pieces included in this event benefit View and its artistic endeavors.
