Third bout added to televised boxing card at Turning Stone

VERONA — A third bout has been added to HBO’s Boxing After Dark telecast set for Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center.

The tripleheader now includes two title fights and a main event featuring the No. 1 contender for Floyd Mayweather, Jr.’s WBC welterweight title, Thomas Dulorme.

The third bout of the tripleheader features WBO NABO junior welterweight champion Karim Mayfield (16-0-1, 10 KOs) of San Francisco defending his title against challenger Mauricio Herrera (18-2-0, 7 KOs) of Lake Elsinore, California. In a second nationally-televised fight, IBF lightweight champion Miguel Vazquez (31-3-0, 13 KOs) of Guadalajara, Mexico will take on challenger Marvin Quintero (25-3-0, 21 KOs) of Tijuana, Mexico.

For the main event, Dulorme, (16-0-0, 12 KOs) of Puerto Rico, puts his No. 1 WBC qelterweight contender ranking up for grabs against Luis Carlos Abregu (33-1-0, 27 KOs) of Argentina. Promoters plan to announce the undercard at a later date. Bouts are subject to change.

Doors open at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Event Center at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 with the first undercard bout starting at 7:30. The live HBO Boxing After Dark telecast begins at 10:15 p.m.

Tickets range from $25 to $75 and are available by calling the Turning Stone box office at 361-7469 or through Ticketmaster. Active military members and current college students with valid ID are eligible for discounted $15 tickets.
