Grant lets View staff train

OLD FORGE — Arts center View received a grant from the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties, Inc. for $4,075 to help underwrite a three-day training workshop for View staff, select board members, and key volunteers.

The workshop, held in June, was designed to guide the multi-arts center through its current stage of organizational growth. View selected M3 Business Service Network of Utica to coordinate the workshop, which focused on how to successfully implement action items from View’s strategic plan, such as increasing attendance at View events, expanding the visibility of View beyond central New York, and broadening its support base of members and donors.

View Executive Director Jennifer Potter Hayes said, "In the past year, we have tripled the size of our space, doubled the size of our staff, and nearly doubled the size of our operating budget. We are in a transformative stage as we seek to expand programming and increase our visibility."
