The 22-year-old man who crashed without a helmet on an all-terrain vehicle in Westmoreland has died from his injuries.

Sheriff’s deputies said Adrian A. Spence, of Eureka Road, was in critical condition after his ATV rolled on top of him near his home on the night of Thursday, Aug. 9.

Deputies said Spence had not been wearing a helmet, and he was rushed to the hospital with a severe head injury. Spence had been riding his 1990 Polaris ATV in the roadway when he lost control.

Authorities said Spence died of his injuries on Thursday, Aug. 16.

The funeral will be held at noon on Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church.
