VERNON — A teenager is accused of stealing an X-box video game console from a residence on Prospect Street.

Sheriff’s deputies said Cody J. Ward, 19, of Oneida, entered the residence at 3 p.m. Saturday and stole the video game console. He was taken into custody and the property was recovered a short time later.

Ward is charged with second-degree burglary, a class C felony, authorities stated. He was arraigned and sent to county jail in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or bond. He is scheduled to reappear in court.
