$250 fine in shoplifting case

A 34-year-old woman was fined in City Court for stealing contact lens solution from Rite Aid on Erie Boulevard.

Amy Tennant, of 109 W. South St., was ordered by Judge Daniel C. Wilson Wednesday to pay a $250 fine on one count of trespass, reduced from petty larceny.

Authorities said at 2:02 p.m. June 8, Tennant stole quantities of Oxysept and Rivitalens, worth $22.48, from Rite Aid on Erie Boulevard.

Also in City Court:

¿ Terrence A. Johnson, 23, of 427 Lansing St., Utica, was ordered to pay a $100 fine and $120 surcharge on one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.

Police said at 11:56 a.m. July 11, Johnson was found with a cigar wrapper containing marijuana under the bridge near Canal Street.
