Ann D. Hurlbut, 87, of Rome, passed away July 31, 2012 in Rome Memorial Hospital. She was born September 17, 1924 in Rome, the daughter of Philip and Ernestine Watson Dersherl. On February 17, 1968 she married Bernard O. Hurlbut in Zion Episcopal Church in Rome.
Ann was a member of the Jenna Taska Club, New Comers Club, and Rome Community Theater. She was recently inducted into the Rome Arts Hall of Fame on April 10, 2010.
Mrs. Hurlbut thoroughly enjoyed the theater, Syracuse Symphony Orchestra, and the many friends she made throughout her life. She was a very proud and devoted wife. Ann was a greatly loved individual and will be missed by all who knew her.
Surviving besides her husband of 44 years, Bernard, are her special friend and caregiver, Glenda Guerrieri, who loved Ann dearly; her beloved cat, Amber; a step-brother, George Herder, and his wife, Diane; a niece Allison (Preston) Bonelli; and a great-niece Samantha Bonelli.
