An attempted break-in at the Disabled American Veterans office on East Dominick Street is under police investigation.

Detective Commander Timothy J. Bates said that a window was discovered broken out at the office building at 407 E. Dominick St. at about 2:30 a.m. today. Bates said that the broken window sounded an alarm inside the building, and "it appears that the suspect or suspects fled prior to police arrival."

Nothing was taken from the office, police said. Anyone with information about the attempted burglary is asked to call police at 339-7715. All calls will be kept confidential.
