Police: Trespassers caught in the act

A 23-year-old woman was fined and her 24-year-old companion pleaded not guilty in City Court after a man told law enforcers that he found them having sex on his property.

¿ Tabatha D. Ross, of 408 Scott Ave., was ordered by Judge Daniel C. Wilson Friday to pay a $75 fine and $200 surcharge on one count of trespass.

¿ Michael J. Graham, of 5951 Old Oneida Road, was released on his own recognizance on a charge of trespass. His case was adjourned to July 27.

State police said at 7:15 p.m. July 7, Ross and Graham were trespassing on clearly marked private property on Old Oneida Road, at the end of dead-end Hoag Road.

In a statement to police, the property owner said he saw their motor vehicle parked on his property, within 10 feet of a "No trespassing" sign. When he went to get a closer look, the owner told state police that he saw them having sex in the back seat.
