Estelle D. Slawson, 93, of Tampa, FL, formerly of Rome, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012. She was born on October 13, 1918, in Rome, the daughter of Stanley and Helena Mindur Dabrowski. She was a graduate of Rome Free Academy and attended the Gaines School of Business Administration and Secretarial Practice in New York City. On May 24, 1952, Estelle was united in marriage to Louis C. Slawson in Rome.
Estelle was employed by Rome Cable Corporation for many years.
She enjoyed golfing, traveling, the opera, and visiting her family.
Surviving besides her loving husband of sixty years, Louis; are a daughter and son-in-law, Linda A. and Peter D. Smith, of Oldsmar, FL and a granddaughter, Alexis Estelle Smith. Estelle was predeceased by her three sisters, Stefania Kozimor, Mary Schilling, and Jessica Dibella; and a brother, Leopold "Paul" Dabrowski.
A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Transfiguration Church at 11:00 AM where the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio will officiate. Interment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
