Area television and radio stations came away with four awards at the 46th Awards for Excellence in Broadcasting, an annual contest sponsored by the New York State Broadcasters Association.

WKTV was judged to have the most Outstanding Hard News Story and Outstanding Local Sporting Event. Marcy-based radio station WIBX won for Outstanding Spot News and Outstanding Feature Story.
