NEW HARTFORD — Northwestern Mutual has announced two local promotions.

Tanner C. Stewart has been appointed college unit director. His duties include recruiting and training financial representative interns, mentoring interns as well as some representatives while still providing clients with the financial services solutions.

A native of Lowville, Stewart is a 2010 graduate of Utica College. He is a member of the Utica College Alumni Council, and coaches summer youth lacrosse.

Andy Weimer has been appointed a field director in the Campion Road office. He will be recruiting and developing new financial representative for the Greater New York Group.

A native of New Hartford, Weimer earned a bachelor’s degree from Le Moyne College in 2003. He lives in Utica with his wife, Laura, and their daughter, Ilana.
