Edward N. Johnson, 61, of Rome, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2012. He was born in Mt. Kisco, N.Y., the son of Nelson and Margaret Whitlock Johnson. Edward received his education in Somers, N.Y. In 1972, Ed enlisted in the United States Air Force and proudly served his country for over 7 years. In 1998, he was married to Honey Drake.

Woodworking, especially furniture making, welding and tinkering with his car were Ed’s favorite pastimes. He was a former member of the V.F.W. here in Rome.

Surviving are his wife, Honey; three daughters, Jillian, Jennifer and Katie; four sons, Rylee, Nicholas, Edward and Douglas; two brothers, Michael and Alan; along with several nieces, nephews and special friends.

Services were held at the convenience of the family with burial in Wright Settlement Cemetery.
