UTICA — Albert M. Anderegg, 91, of Utica, formerly of Rock Road, Verona, passed away early Saturday morning, June 16, 2012, in the Masonic Care Community, Acacia Village, where he had been a resident since 1996.
He was born on August 20, 1920 in the Town of Western as the son of Albert and Elizabeth Teuscher Anderegg. Albert moved to Verona with his parents at an early age. On April 28, 1956, he married the former Doris K. Bittner in the Verona Methodist Church parsonage. He was educated in Verona schools.
Mr. Anderegg was a dairy farmer most of his life, at first with his parents on Smith Road and then with his wife on Rock Road. He took pride and enjoyed raising and caring for dairy cattle, crops and a well-kept farmstead. Albert was member of the Verona Methodist Church where he also served on the church board in various capacities. He also served on the Verona Cemetery Association board for thirty years and was their president for ten years.
After retiring in 1996, he and his wife moved to the Acacia Village; a Masonic living facility in Utica.
He is survived by several cousins and friends and was predeceased by his wife Doris on January 18, 2009 and his sister Katherine on November 4, 2010.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main Street, Oneida, with the Reverend Peg Ward, officiating. Interment will be made in Verona Cemetery. There will be no public hours of visitation.
