NORTH SYRACUSE — Kirk Cameron, star of the movie Fireproof, will be the featured speaker at North Syracuse Baptist in North Syracuse on Sunday, June 10 at 4 p.m.
Cameron, along with musical guest Warren Barfield, who wrote "Love Is Not A Fight" featured in Fireproof, are taking part in Feed Your Faith’s national "Love Worth Fighting For" tour, an event designed to strengthen and encourage marriages.
The 35-stop tour tickets range from $20 to $35 each and are available as reserved seats or general admission for singles, couples and groups of 10 or more through www.feedyourfaith.org.
The "Love Worth Fighting For" conference focuses on all areas of personal and spiritual relationships. The conference is beneficial for people in all stages of life, as the event applies to teenagers, single adults, newly married couples and longtime spouses, organizers said.
"Not only is Love Worth Fighting For intended for those struggling in their marriages, but it is a great event for those that are engaged or even people looking to be married one day and they simply want to lay a foundation for the future," said Cameron.
Cameron is best known as the teen heartthrob "Mike Seaver," of the award winning series Growing Pains. He is also known as "Buck Williams" from the Left Behind films based on the New York Times best selling novels by Tim LaHaye and Jerry Jenkins. Kirk’s most recent role was playing the part of "Capt. Caleb Holt" from the 2008 blockbuster movie success, Fireproof. He is also a producer and host of The Way of the Master television series.
North Carolina-born singer/songwriter Warren Barfield is on a mission "to make the truly important things important again in his life. Things like faith, love, marriage, children, truth and with his songs, he challenges us all to do the same."
