Marvin William Berman


Marvin William Berman, 80, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2012, in Palo Alto, CA. He was born in Rome, New York on April 17, 1932, son of Mark and Leonore Davis Berman. He graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1950. Following High School he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, followed by many years at Briggs Printing in Rome. He was active in the Elks Lodge #96, the American Legion and the Boy Scout Troop #96. He married Lyn Wardwell on May 15, 1966. After moving to California in 1980, he was a manager at several different companies and enjoyed his free time coaching sports and serving his community. Surviving are his wife of 46 years Lyn Berman, Placentia CA; son and daughter-in-law David and Wendy Berman, San Jose, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Leslie and Cory Severson, San Jose, CA; one sister, Shirley Burkom, Houston, TX; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Ryan Severson, Zakary Berman, Tyler Berman and Jakson Berman.
