Big rigs event benefits school

FLY CREEK — Big trucks, heavy equipment, emergency vehicles and earth-moving machinery will converge upon the Fly Creek Cider Mill for children to explore and play from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Donation admission for Big Rigs is $5 per person or $20 per family. Mill hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Parking is free.

A benefit for Cooperstown’s Brookwood School, the event is open to children who long to touch, climb-on and explore diggers and full-size vehicles. The Otsego County Sheriff’s Department will also register children in the "Child Find" Program in which kids are fingerprinted, photographed and registered with the state database until the age of 18.
