Center offers walking, bocce

The Ava Dorfman Senior Center, 305 E. Locust St., has started a walking group, opened its bocce court and reschuled its card party.

For information on any of the events call 337-8230.

Walking Group with Wellness Instructor Chris VonMatt will be Mondays at 9 a.m. as soon as eight are signed up.

The bocce court is open. Two teams have been established. Lessons are available by calling 337-8230. Instead of June 3, the Card Party, open to the public, is scheduled for Sunday, June 24, from 1­4 p.m. for $10 per person. There will be prizes and silent auction. Lunch will be served and will include sandwiches, two cold salads, dessert, coffee or tea. Tickets available at the front desk and must be purchased by Wednesday, June 20.

The Arts & Crafts Program will meet on Thursdays at 1 p.m. in June. The Arts & Crafts room will be open daily for independent artistry from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. During June, the program will have ceramic Christmas trees for sale in the Center. Orders must be in by Aug. 1 with payment.
