Open house set for offices
of Mental Health and Aging

WHITESTOWN — An open house to showcase the new location for two county offices at the former county airport is set for 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The Department of Mental Health and Office for the Aging and Continuing Care moved to 120 Airline St. at the start of the year. The building, across the street from the old passenger terminal, formerly housed a Federal Reserve check processing facility.

On hand to meet and greet visitors will be County Executive Anthony J. Picente Jr., Mental Health Commissioner Linda M. Nelson and Aging Director Michael J. Romano. Tours will follow remarks by the three officials.

Mental Health and Aging were formerly in Utica. The move is part of Picente’s goal to reduce the county’s use of leased space.
