Local soldiers who received Army Commendation medals are: Sgt. Frank Berwick, of Rome; Spc. Robert Annarino, of Taberg; and Spc. Ronald Sanganetti, of Camden.

They got the honors when soldiers and family members of the New York Army National Guard’s 105th Military Police Company gathered for their unit’s "Freedom Salute" following their return from Iraq.
