Crop report changes made

MARCY — Crop reports are due, according to Oneida County USDA Farm Service Agency Executive Director Donna W. Purdy. She said, "the common acreage reporting dates between FSA and the Risk Management Agency will take effect during the 2012 crop year for certain commodities. The remaining common ARDs will be implemented during the 2013 crop year."

Information regarding crop certification and crop loss reports, can be obtained from the FSA office at 736-3316.

Purdy said consolidations last year "will reduce the crop reporting burden on producers" adding it will "help reduce USDA operating costs by sharing data with partner agencies."
