TOWN OF WATSON — A 25-year-old Lewis County man is accused of flicking a lit cigarette into another man’s eye.

Sheriff’s deputies said Randy J. Meyers Jr., of 14191 Park Road, Harrisville, flicked the cigarette into the other man’s right eye during a domestic dispute at a residence on River Road on Saturday. The victim was treated at a local hospital for his injury.

Deputies said Meyers was taken into custody Sunday night on a charge of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor. He was released on an appearance ticket to Town Court.

Authorities said the investigation is continuing.
