MVCC nursing students win national award for video

A video created by Mohawk Valley Community College nursing students won first place at the National Student Nursing Association Conference in Philadelphia, announced MVCC.

The video, submitted in the "Joy of Nursing" video contest in a national competition for student nurses, was shown at the start of the conference. MVCC students wrote, produced and acted in the video that featured their original song, "The Good."

The video received the most votes over four other finalist submissions from schools and colleges in New York City, California, Georgia and Colorado, MVCC officials said.

Among MVCC students involved in the video, including composing, directing and acting, were Lynzie Quinn, Britney Gant, Tran Quoc Cuong, Arianna Graziadei, Marina Joseph-Lebedeza, Norman Reith and Lydia Seales. The Office of Educational Technologies’ Mike Zombek worked as the producer and Robert Rogan as the audio mixer, the college said.
