VERNON — The pacer Glam Cam equaled the fastest mile of the young season, while the trotter Ziegler Hanover became the meet’s first two-time winner on Thursday at Vernon Downs.

Competing in the sixth race, the week’s $9,500 open event for females racers, the 6-year-old Glam Cam posted a 1::52 mile. lTrainer Brian Connor drove for owner Robert Lovett.
