CLINTON — "Remembering Our Veterans," watercolor portraits by Katherine Kernan will be on display in the Kirkland Town Library, 55 1/2 College St., from May 3-30.

A reception will be held Thursday, May 24, from 6-8 p.m.

Ms. Kernan is a retired Utica City School District teacher interested in honoring our veterans, including men and women from all branches of the military along with wives and Gold star Mothers from WWII to the present. She photographs interested individuals and then paints them from these photographs.

She will post a statement identifying the volunteers, where they served and an insight about what is important to them now.
