BRANTINGHAM — A Lewis County man is facing charges of domestic abuse accused of slamming his companion’s head into the floor Saturday.

Sheriff’s deputies said Raymond H. Goethals, 46, of 7899 Woodcreek Drive, shoved his 33-year-old companion during a dispute at their residence at 1:40 p.m. Deputies said Goethals also grabbed the woman by her hair and repeatedly slammed her to the floor.

Goethals is charged with second-degree imprisonment, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, authorities stated. He is scheduled to appear in Turin Town Court.
