The Rome Free Academy junior varsity girls lacrosse team was handed a 13-6 home loss by Vernon-Verona-Sherrill on Thursday.
Lyndon Hall had two goals and an assist for Rome, while Gabbie Carter knocked in two goals, Cheyene Smith shot in a goal and made an assist, and Veronica Kessler scored one goal. Goaltender Lauren McCarthy recorded 13 saves in between the pipes.
C-NS bounces RFA
In other junior varsity action, the RFA softball squad dropped a 9-1 decision against Cicero-North Syracuse.
Paula Amo connected with two hits and scored a run to lead the RFA offense.
Alyssa Fazio took the pitching loss or the 4-2 Lady Black Knights.
