Unregistered New York State residents, or those who have moved, who wish to vote in the April 24 Republican Presidential Primary must register to vote by Friday.
Mail-in voter registration forms must be postmarked by midnight Friday and received no later than April 4 or filled out in person at the Board of Elections in Union Station, Utica, Friday to be valid for the upcoming primary election.
Internet users may download a registration form by going to the state board’s web site at www.elections.ny.gov and clicking on the "Voting Information" link.
Only registered Republicans may vote in the Republican Presidential Primary. (There is no Democratic Presidential Primary.)
Residents who have moved to a new county must re-register from their new address. Those who are currently registered and have moved to a new address in the same county should notify their county board of elections in writing of their move.
Those who are unsure whether they are registered, or wish to verify their current address, may look up their status at https://voterlookup.elections.state.ny.us/votersearch.aspx.
The New York State Voter Registration Form can be used by new voters to register or as a change-of-address form for voters who have recently moved.
