Ruth F. Hosley, 96, of Rome passed away Thursday January 19, 2012 at Bethany Gardens. Born September 2, 1915 in Rome she was a daughter of Thomas W. and Iola Record Miller. Ruth graduated from Rome Free Academy with the class of 1934. On July 7, 1942 she was united in marriage to Albert J. Hosley. Mr. Hosley died May 1, 1987. Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church where she was past president of the Fidelis Class and past president of United Methodist Women. She retired as a Cafeteria Manager for Rome City Schools after many years service. Ruth also worked at Camp Aldersgate and at one time for General Cable and Rome Cable. She was a member of Spruce Twig, Wednesday Morning Club and was a Girl Scout leader.
Ruth is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Dianna and Roger Johnson; a son and daughter-in-law, David and Rolena Hosley, Grand Cayman Island; daughter-in-law, Paula Hosley; brother-in-law, Roger Trembley; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Thomas, sisters Jane Trembley and Inez Gratch, and brothers David and Rockwell Miller.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church. Spring interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Strong and Burns Funeral Home, 401 N. George St.
