Rome Free Academy indoor track and field athlete Mariah Mays won the shot put event with a distance of 35 feet, 6 inches during Monday’s Martin Luther King Jr. Invitational at Colgate University. She also won the weight throw event. Her shot put win was omitted from a story published on Tuesday.
