The state Education Department announced results Wednesday from standardized English and math tests that were issued to students in grades 3-8 earlier this year.
The figures below show how Rome pupils performed on the tests, compared to their performance in the 2008-09 school year. The numbers represent the percentage of students whose performance met or exceeded state standards, which are scored as Levels 3 and 4.
Results for Staley Upper Elementary School and Strough Middle School vary slightly from the Rome district’s overall rates for grades 5-8 because a small portion of students in the district were enrolled at alternate locations based on individual situations.
