Students make music video

VERONA — Six students from Rome Free Academy, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School and elsewhere made music together today.

The students wrote a song, recorded it, and produced a music video on the John Lennon Educational Bus at Turning Stone Resort & Casino as part of the Society of Broadcast Engineers chapter’s annual expo.

Students participating were: William Mucha, RFA, guitar; Kagen Dewey, RFA, bass; David Grossman, Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School, drums; Kayla Saltamach, Oneida High School, vocal; Donovan Ferguson, Oneida-Madison BOCES, technical; Patrick Micaroni, Canastota High School, vocal; and Jeremy Lafountain, Herkimer BOCES, technical.

On Wednesday, the students will be introduced at the chapter reception at the Lava Nightclub at Turning Stone. The group’s video will be shown, and they will also have the opportunity to perform with the Dan Elliott & Trio band.

The John Lennon bus will be open for public tours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in front of the Event Center at the resort. Groups of six or more may schedule a tour time by contacting Expo Chairman Thomas McNicholl via e-mail or phone at tmcnicholl@wktv.com or 793-3477, ext. 250.
