Plan for your 2008 Reunion

If you graduated in a year ending in an '8' or a '3', your class may be having a reunion next year. Also, some schools have all-class alumni dinners.

Check below to see if your class or a family member's class already has plans for a reunion or, if not, at least who to contact to keep informed.

Oneida High School Class of 1998, 10-year reunion 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 at The Crazy Clam, 129 Canal St., Sylvan Beach. Adults only are welcome for an appetizer buffet, cash bar and a band at 9 p.m. Reservations with checks for $15 per person or $25 per couple made out to OHS Class of 1998 can be sent to Jaime (Winne) Alvarez, 132 Goodrich Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210 by July 16. Money will not be taken at the door.

Oneida High School office personnel are not aware of class reunion planning yet, but ask that any committees notify the office at 363-6901 so they can refer callers.

Remsen's Alumni Association president is Vivian Walter, PO Box 109, Remsen, 13438 or phone 831-5256. The alumni event is always the first Saturday in June, which makes it June 7, 2008. She said alumni who haven't gotten an invitation in the past, or have moved, can get their name and address to her for the late-April, early-May mailing. The event starts with a hospitality at 5:30 p.m. and a buffet by Janet Rolands at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium, a change from the cafeteria. Some classes also have individual reunions.

Vernon-Verona-Sherrill's Class of 1958 will hold its 50-reunion Friday and Saturday, July 25-26, 2008. On July 25, an informal get-together will take place at Marble Hill Inn, Sherrill. Saturday, there will be a dinner-dance at Dibble's Inn, Vernon.
